Tips
None of these are hidden exactly, but they're easy to miss. A few minutes here will save you a lot of clicks later.
Pick the project as you type
Type # and a project name in the task title and Trackli picks that project for you. For example, Submit October timesheet #PMO goes into PMO, and the #PMO part is removed from the title when you save.
- It works in quick add and in the task window.
- Case doesn't matter, and part of the name is enough (
#vendorfinds Vendor onboarding).
Type dates in plain words
In quick add, put the date in the title: Chase Corvel for DPA comments friday becomes a task called Chase Corvel for DPA comments, due this Friday. Trackli understands things like today, tomorrow, monday, next friday, in 3 days, in 2 weeks, next week, next month, end of week and end of month.
Date shortcuts
Every date field has shortcut buttons under it: T (today), +1 (tomorrow), W (in a week) and M (in a month).
You can also type a shortcut straight into a date box:
Tfor today,T+3for three days from nowW+2for two weeks from nowM+1for a month from now
Typed dates can use /, - or . between the numbers (ex: 04/11/2026 or 04.11.2026).
Filter by clicking a project
Click a project in the sidebar to show only that project's tasks. It applies to every view, so you can switch from Board to Calendar and still only see Lumen Media Platform. Click the project again, or the cross on its pill, to see everything.
While a project filter is on, new tasks go into that project.
Quick filters on the board
The chips above the board filter in one click: Due Today, Overdue, Due This Week and My Day. Click a chip again to turn it off.
On a computer there are a few more next to them:
- Show subtasks shows subtasks as their own cards.
- Hide blocked hides tasks that are blocked, with a count of how many.
- Bulk edit lets you tick several cards and change them together. Press
Escto leave it.
Save and keep going
- In quick add,
Cmd+Enter(Ctrl+Enteron Windows) adds the task and leaves the box open for the next one. Handy when you're getting a list out of your head. - In the task window,
Cmd+Entersaves the task you're editing and opens a new one in the same project.
Rename a card without opening it
On a computer, double-click a card's title on the board to edit it in place.
Tips for phones
- Drag and drop is switched off on phones so it doesn't fight with scrolling. Change a task's status from the task window instead.
- On the board, use the status tabs at the top to switch between columns.
