Asana
Connect Asana and the tasks from the Asana projects you choose show up in Trackli. Update a task in either place and the other keeps up.
Connect
- Open Settings from your account menu and go to Integrations.
- Find Asana and choose Connect.
- Sign in to Asana and allow Trackli access.
The card then shows Connected to and your workspace name.
Bring your tasks in
The first time, Trackli offers Start Your First Import. Choose Import Now to bring your tasks in, or Skip to do it later.
To choose which projects sync:
- On the Asana card, open Project Sync Settings. It shows how many of your projects are turned on.
- Turn on the projects you want.
- For each one, choose what to Import: Tasks assigned to me, Tasks I created or All tasks in project.
Sync Now runs a sync whenever you want one. Each Asana project gets a Trackli project with the same name.
What stays in sync
From Asana to Trackli: the title, description, start date, due date and priority, and the status.
From Trackli to Asana: the title, description, start date and due date. Mark a task done in Trackli and it's completed in Asana.
The status comes from the Asana section the task is in. Trackli reads the section name, so a section called In progress goes to In Progress, Done goes to Done, and Backlog or On hold goes to Backlog. Anything else goes to To Do.
Real-time sync
Real-time sync on the card shows Active once Asana is sending changes to Trackli as they happen, and each live project is marked Live. If it shows Manual sync only, choose Sync Now to turn it on.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the Asana card.
Tips
- Start with Tasks assigned to me. A busy Asana project can have far more tasks than you need on your own board.
- Keep the project names the same. Trackli finds the right project by its name, so renaming the Trackli project means the next sync starts a new one.
