Outlook add-in
If you live in Outlook, the Trackli add-in saves you a step. Open an email, and you can turn it into a task or attach it to a task you already have, right there next to the message.
The add-in is in Microsoft AppSource and works in Outlook on the desktop and Outlook on the web.
Install it
- Go to Microsoft AppSource and search for Trackli.
- Choose to get the add-in and follow Microsoft's steps to add it to Outlook.
- Open an email and choose Trackli from your Outlook add-ins.
Your work IT team may need to allow add-ins before you can install it.
The add-in signs in with your Trackli email and password. If you normally sign in with Google, set a password first in Settings, Account, then use it here. See Sign in with Google.
Create a task from an email
With an email open, choose Create task with AI. Trackli reads the email and fills in the task for you, so you only need to check it.
- Look over the Title, Description, Due Date, Status, Effort and priority, and change anything that's not quite right.
- Pick a Project. Every task needs one.
- Save the task.
The email is attached to the task, so you have the whole message to hand later. For example, an email from Corvel asking for comments on the DPA by Friday comes through as a task due Friday, with the email saved alongside it.
Quick actions
Under Quick Actions there are four shortcuts: My Day, Tomorrow, Critical and Next Week. Pick one, then choose whether to make a new task from the email or add it to an existing one. For example, Tomorrow gives the task a due date of tomorrow.
Attach an email to a task you already have
Choose Attach to existing task, search for the task (ex: Confirm vendor DPA with Corvel) and select it. The email is linked to that task, so the whole conversation stays in one place.
See your day
View My Day at the bottom shows today's My Day tasks, and you can mark them complete without leaving Outlook.
Tips
- Not on Outlook, or the add-in isn't allowed at work? You can still forward emails to Trackli.
- The add-in follows Outlook's light or dark look, and you can switch it with the button at the top.
